What’s YOUR Business Why?
Why are you doing what you do? How you can make it 1000 times better!
It all Comes Down to Your Motivation.
Business owners often tend to be too busy working in their business rather than working on their business. What on earth do you think I mean by that statement?
Do you jump out of bed early, because you love what you do and can’t wait to do it some more today?
Having been a small business owner for many years and had advisers from my business bank trying to help me I found the advice frustrating. They are used to dealing with larger corporations and often have never run a business themselves so the advice offered is not always the most practical way forward. They have good intentions and understand all the business accounting figures and possible ways to improve the bottom line. However they don’t really grasp the HOW does a small business owner achieve the results on their own, once the meeting is over. They also overlook the WHY and that comes down to Your business motivation! The need to get the mind and the goals clear and focussed.
Why should you listen to them? Because they are an important part of your business and motivational development but not the most important. A good bank balance is crucial, so is great cash-flow, offering really good products and services is crucial to drive sales, but the really over-riding, most important thing, is your own mindset and concrete belief in your future success. Your personal business motivation and mindset to achieve your business success is crucial if you are to create the profit that you desire for your future excellence and lifestyle.
I remember well, working in my own business ventures. Juggling all the tasks of having discussions with employees about the work in hand, negotiating with suppliers and manufacturers, meetings with clients at all hours of the day, ordering stock and materials, looking at advertising methods, developing the websites, designing projects, writing specifications, paying bills etc., etc! I forgot to stop and plan where things were going and how I proposed we’d get there. Thank goodness that we have the ability to learn from our mistakes and to start to apply new ideas and methods in order to improve both our own mindset to action and the way we apply the logic.
I am now moving forward again and actively offering help and advice to enable other business owners to step back and then plan for the future with a refreshed mindset. The correct motivation and mindset creates an absolute conviction of the successful outcome. Once the conviction of success is realised then taking the right action with determination and the correct daily steps forward will see that outcome.
